This comprehensive guide contains a list of all Hackintosh: All Bluetooth Compatible Adapters Windows 10 Buyer Guide. Here is a complete guide. You can make your Hackintosh compatible!
More and more Bluetooth devices surround us: wireless headsets, headphones, speakers, mice, keyboards etc. It is therefore normal to need it and to want to equip your Hackintosh: All Bluetooth Compatible Adapters. But you have to be careful which adapter to choose, because not all are compatible.
There are several kinds depending on your needs: USB dongles and PCI cards (we will focus on these 2 types).
To begin with, if you are looking for a simple, “plug and play” installation, I advise you to use a USB dongle which will be quick to set up. Perfect if you want to connect a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.
However, it quickly reaches its limits and I would advise you to go on a PCI card if you want to connect headphones, headphones or speakers in addition. The flow will be more important and this will reduce the risk of loss of information (quite annoying for listening to music).
These dongles are compatible and fairly easy to use, most are recognized by macOS as standard, there will be no driver to install:
- 1 Avantree DG40S USB Bluetooth Dongle Adapter for PC Windows 10, 8, 7, XP
- 2 TP-Link Bluetooth dongle UB400, bluetooth 4.0 adapter compatible with Windows 10 / 8.1 / 8/7 / XP
- 3 PC Hackintosh WiFi & BT WiFi Card 802.11a / g / n / ac + BT 4.0 PCI-E Mac compatible
- 4 MQUPIN Fenvi BCM94360CD 5G Wireless Card for Desktop Computer
For better performance and better stability, I advise you to choose a bluetooth PCIe card, which will be much more powerful and will allow more devices to be connected simultaneously. Some of its cards are also Wi-Fi cards. Prefer this type of card if you also want to add Wi-Fi to your Hackintosh.
Note: We do not recommend purchasing Wi-Fi cards with an Intel chip, most are not compatible. Prefer a Broadcom chip (BCM) which is (with some exceptions) most of the time compatible with macOS.
It’s up to you to see if you prefer a card installed inside your PC, for more stability, or a simple USB key to connect to your PC for more simplicity.
Please feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions about these bluetooth adapters :).
